Solstice Festival Art Program 2023 curated by Niklas Hallman
As a temporary festival situated on top of a fell, a very obviously divergent
surrounding compared to where we are regularly exposed to visual art and
electrified sound. A similar divergence can be found between the natural beauty
of the untouched landscape and the Ruka fell, the latter being designed to serve
the need of the living person, to ease our access to the top of this little mountain.

Beyond the Edge BFA exhibition at the Gerrit Rietveld academy
’In a world controlled by humans, a lonely raft floats about in the endless ocean. On board there are several objects. But these objects are not inanimate: they somehow seem to be alive. Mould like substances carpet their surfaces, mushrooms sprout out of holes and plant like networks connect everything together. The sculptures whisper of a different time, carrying multiple layers and marks. They seem to be heading somewhere, getting close to, or even beyond, the edge’. (NL) 2018
